Looking for more information about bodybuilding steroids? You have come to the right place. Let’s dive in and take a look at two of the most popular bodybuilding steroids, as well as one viable alternative when none are available.
Testosterone Variants
Without a doubt, testosterone is the most popular of anabolic steroids. Available in a number of “esters”, or varying time release varieties, testosterone is simply an injectable form of the hormone testosterone which is present in your body already. However, the levels in your body peak at 40 to 50 mg per week in natural production. Most testosterone cycles recommend the user inject 400 to 800 mg per week (divided into two shots). This is over ten times higher than what your body can produce naturally, and you will recognize this after 2 to 3 weeks of injecting. You’ll become harder all over, and your aggression in the gym will skyrocket. You’ll use more of the protein from the foods that you eat, which will lead to faster recovery times. You may find yourself lifting two times per day, and healing faster than you did when you were only training one time per day!
Nandrolone
Stacked with a testosterone ester, Nandrolone is the perfect sister drug for stacking in order to make your gains from steroids that much better. Never use Nandrolone by itself. Taken with testosterone, however, you will see tremendously benefits in muscle gain way above what the testosterone alone offers. Combine Nandrolone with testosterone on your third or fourth cycle. Before that, testosterone alone is more than adequate for muscle gains.
Prohormone supplements
If you are a serious bodybuilder looking to make a mark at the state or national level competition, then bodybuilding steroids use is going to be a must. However, if the legal, financial and other potential ramifications of use prohibit you from actually using steroids, then you may find the best way to boost your body’s testosterone levels is through the use of prohormone supplements. They are legal and fairly affordable, and used by an entire generation of testosterone-hungry youths to whom actual anabolic steroid use was never an option. Just as with actual steroids, prohormone supplements can lead to great muscle gains. And, they can lead to serious health problems if abused. Heck, a bottle of aspirin can kill you in an hour, right? No supplement or drug is safe when abused, and prohormone supplements are no exception. Use prohormone supplements for short cycles are recommended on the packaging, and enjoy steroid-like gains without all the AAS associated headaches.
Remember that bodybuilding steroids do have some long-term effects upon the body, both positive and negative. On the positive side, you will see great increases in muscle mass and strength that will last long after you discontinue their use. However, long-term use can also lead to a slumping of your natural production of testosterone in your body. Always follow correct PCT (post-cycle therapy) to ensure you are allowing your pituitary gland to “wake up” to the need for your testes to begin function once again in absence of artificial testosterone being present in the body.

Finding the best prohormone stack that’s right for you can be quite a challenging task. The web is littered with advertisements, recommendations, reviews, and other feedback on all the useful prohormone stack products out there. It’s hard to tell, however, which reviews are accurate and which are simply marketing ploys. Message boards, or forums, are a great place for bodybuilding fans to assemble to share experiences with certain products. However, you do have to wade through the posts from company representatives who will post about how such and such product is the best thing since sliced bread. You can trust the experienced veteran members of the boards, but only to a certain point. If they have truly been using bodybuilding supplements for a decade or longer, and not yet advanced to prohormones or anabolic steroids, then they probably aren’t going to be the bastions of knowledge you would find with an actual experienced steroid user, who would be able to accurately ascertain those supplements with true steroid-like effects. If you want to find the best possible combination of prohormones (or prohormone stack) that you should be using to make gains, then you will want to follow a few steps.
In order to design the perfect prohormone stack, you will first want to write out your goals. If a moderate gain of 5 pounds of muscle, or perhaps just to lose a few pounds of fat is your goal, then you probably don’t need prohormones. You can make due with any number of over the counter supplements, or a simply adjustment to diet and addition of cardiovascular training to your routine. However, if you want to make life-changing alterations, and really convert your body to the tune of 15 to 25 new pounds of muscle over a 3 year period, then prohormones are going to be the route you take. For the sake of this article, we will prepare a prohormone stack for a 180-pound male in his twenties seeking steroid-like gains from a prohormone product.
Starting off, you will want to choose a tried and true product for helping to increase testosterone production. Mesobolin would be ideal for this. Its ability to spurn natural T level spikes, without HPTA function disruption, makes it ideal for many bodybuilders. Add to that Derma-Tropin hGH, and you will enjoy elevated growth hormone production throughout the day with each meal. Finally, for explosiveness in the gym, you may want to include TridenosenH, which will makes pump last longer, blood flow more efficiently, and deliver increased oxygen to the every muscle in the body.
Work with any number of supplements to find the prohormone stack that is right for you. Remember that synergy can be achieved when you use multiple supplements together. In other words, 1 + 1 = 3. Or, in the case of this discussion, 1 + 1 + 1 = 5. You will reap far greater benefits from using three powerful prohormone supplements when you combine them into a prohormone stack, than you would see using them individually. Give them a shot, and see if you move closer to reaching your bodybuilding goals.

Whether you’re new to the bodybuilding game, or a veteran of the iron game for years, you can never learn too much about the many aspects of the sport. Each year, there are huge strides made in the field of supplementation. New products arrive on the scene with plenty of hype, and older market offerings disappear without much fanfare as the market speaks and people simply stop buying them. Things don’t change much when it comes to training, but even those who have been in the gym for decades still learn things every day. Newer trainers, however, can learn a great deal to help them find greater and continued results after those initial beginners’ gains wear off.
But where should you look to gain this new information? Is there some magic book you can memorize, and suddenly you’ll become the top bodybuilding information aficionado in your area? Of course not. Becoming a master of the iron sport can take years of study from a variety of sources. Let’s look at some of the best resources for learning more about bodybuilding.
Bodybuilding websites
Bodybuilding.com, Getanabolics.com, and many other online collections of useful bodybuilding information can help give you the edge in training, nutritional, supplementation, and steroid knowledge. Articles are often organized very well, and you can usually search article databases for whichever article best suits your interests.
Bodybuilding message boards
Forums are a great place to find not only information on training and nutrition, but for motivation as well. Learn from professional bodybuilders and fitness elites, while at the same time having a laugh with others of your age group and interest set.
Books
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Modern Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding is perhaps the most popular bodybuilding book in history. Robert Kennedy and Bill Pearl offer other points of view, delivering a great deal of bodybuilding information in a very direct and understandable format. These books are especially useful for filling in any gaps you have when it comes to training and nutrition. You might have an 80% grasp on a subject – but a few minutes on a chapter can bring you to 100% understanding of a concept.
Magazines
It is hard to keep “discovering” new training and nutritional methods each month, but these magazine editors seem to keep finding a way. Above all, use muscle magazines for motivation and inspiration as you continue to trudge to the gym, day after day.
The Gym
You can learn more about good and bad lifting technique from watching others around you in the gym than you can pick up from any book. Don’t stare, as that can be very rude. But many bodybuilders will take it as a real compliment when a new lifter approaches them and asks for training advice. Just remember to learn your information from a variety of sources, and not just a single individual.
Youtube
This online video depository has only been around for less than a decade, but it has permeated many avenues of our lives with quick delivery of videos based upon nearly every type of subject imaginable. Proper (and improper!) lifting technique can be viewed very easily for nearly every exercise. Just be aware of the fact that many Youtube posters are selling something!

Without a doubt, creatine is the most popular supplement of all-time. Manufacturers have made more money from creatine sales than from all other supplements. Researchers have spent more time and money looking to prove or disprove the effectiveness of creatine, than with any other supplement. Their findings have been consistent, no matter how hard they worked to find some chink in creatine’s armor. It’s not perfect for all people – but for over 90% of users, it delivers good results at a great price. Let’s look at creatine a bit closer.
Creatine has plenty of advantages. First off, and often most beneficial for beginner bodybuilders, is the sudden new streak of confidence that comes from the weight gain that creatine delivers. Yes, the weight is actually caused by water retention, and you will lose some clarity or muscle definition for the time being. However, you will also add a total of 4 to 8 pounds (depending upon your body’s response to creatine) of size to your frame. For the beginner bodybuilder, this is a huge change in body appearance. Shirts are tighter, shoulders are broader. In addition, there is an added strength benefit derived from the use of creatine – and this is where the new muscle gains come from. Since the muscle fibers are fully saturated with water, they are more solid and therefore have more connective strength. This allows the bodybuilder to move more weight, which lead to more muscle fibers being torn. Provide them with adequate nutrients for recovery, and voila! Muscle growth occurs!
There are some risks associated with the use of creatine. If you are genetically pre-determined to have poor kidney function, then you should not be using creatine. The supplement will not filter correctly and place your organs at an undue amount of stress. Some teenage users who have never had any blood work done will suffer extreme pain due to creatine, only to learn this supplement is not for them due to kidney limitations. However, these cases are extremely rare. For most users, creatine works predictably well. Remember that one of the main desired effects of actual anabolic steroid use is increased water retention. Creatine provides this benefit with none of the pesky legal, health or financial headaches that can arise from purchasing or using steroids.
If your goal is to shed body fat for an upcoming bodybuilding show, you can still use creatine. However, you will want to halt use about one week out from the show. At this point, you will begin limiting your water intake in order to bring your body to as dry a state as possible. This places the kidneys at a disadvantage, as does creatine without adequate water, so extra care should be taken to simply drop the creatine from your supplement stack in that final week. Any time you use creatine, you should be drinking ¾ to one full gallon of water each day to keep your body healthy, and to ensure you’re enjoying the most possible benefit from the creatine use.

Everybody wants to be a bodybuilder, but not everyone is willing to take the risks associated with reaching the pinnacle of the sport. Look at the top guys on the professional stage each year. Their hair is thin, or they are bald. Their facial features, jaw line, and forehead have changed significantly over the years due to extreme use of growth hormone. Their midsections are often swollen as a result of long term insulin injection. Let’s face it, pro bodybuilding isn’t pretty!
Once you get past the potential adverse effects of high level steroid use, you arrive at the risks associated with simply obtaining steroids. Unless you are one of the few people fortunate enough to have a doctor spoon-feeding you a gram of testosterone each week, you are limited to buying illegal steroids when you want them. This means you are putting your hard-earned money in the hands of some overseas firm who will mail you some unknown oil in a vial that you are expected to just plunge into your backside without question. It seems weird that so many people are willing to take this sizable chance, especially when there exists a group of steroid alternatives which can deliver many of the same results from a boost in testosterone and growth hormone levels, without the huge physical changes bordering on deformity and risks to freedom, pocketbook and health. Let’s look at two of the most popular steroid alternatives out there, and decide if they are right for you!
Derma-Tropin hGH by Isa-Pharm
We all know that growth hormone is an excellent drug for lowering body fat, increasing vitality, re-energizing the sex drive, raising your muscle mass, and getting stronger. It also helps with recovery and improves skin tone. Growth hormone is very popular with pro athletes, wealthy retirees, and even bodybuilders. But its cost makes it prohibitive for use with most. Derma-Tropin hGH by Isa-Pharm is a supplement which delivers many of the same multiple-release daily GH blasts to the systems of the body, without the hefty price tag, required refrigeration and legal ramifications of use.
Tridenosen H
Now it’s time to boost your body’s natural testosterone production, maximize your red blood cell count volume, improve recovery facilities, and spike your nervous system responsiveness. Yes, testosterone Enanthate of the injectable variety would work just fine for this. But in lieu of that, you would be well served to check into the use of TridenosenH. Enjoy the benefits on a smaller scale, without natural testosterone production shutdown!
There are other compounds out there with comparable effectiveness, but these two supplements tend to stand out based upon their proven track record and recognized acceptance for years by athletes both in and out of bodybuilding. While increased growth hormone production is certainly desired by bodybuilders, it is also very useful for football players recovering from a knee injury or baseball players suffering from a sore back. If you want to enjoy some of the benefits of growth hormone and artificial testosterone, without many of the risks, then there two steroid alternatives might be right for you!

Are you looking for a primer on the various bodybuilding products whose cost you will need to consider when budgeting your monthly expenses? Let’s take a look at some of the most commonly used bodybuilding products whose use you will want to consider.
Workout Gear
You can’t just enter the gym in jean shorts and flip-flops and expect a hardcore workout. Heck, you might be asked to leave if you’re wearing that kind of unsafe attire. Rather, some heavy-duty sweat pants, training gloves, a back brace, and some comfortable t-shirts that aren’t too loose are going to be required. If you only wash your laundry once per week, you may discover the need to purchase 4 or 5 outfits. Always keep a pair of tennis shoes and an extra pair of gym clothes in your trunk for those times when you find yourself at the gym on happenstance.
Books & Periodicals
Bodybuilding magazine subscriptions are very cheap these days, and can be found online for often less than one dollar per issue. Buying even new books online is getting less and less expensive, and can provide you ways to learn when your internet connection isn’t handy.
Supplements
As you train harder and longer with each successive gym session, your body is going to have a tougher and tougher time recovering from workouts. Supplements, perhaps the most popular of bodybuilding products, can help tremendously with recovering from workouts and seeing some eventual new muscle growth. Experiment with supplements such as Mesobolin, creatine, and glutamine for starters, and see which supplement works best for you.
Gym Memberships
One bodybuilding product that is often overlooked when considering monthly iron game expenses is that of a gym membership. Very often, it is attached to your credit card or check card, so you don’t feel the pain of physically pulling out your hard-earned cash each month and forking it over to the kid behind the counter. However, over time, the $35 or $40 you spend each month can move into the hundreds or even thousands of dollars. For this reason, you should select a gym that meets your personal set of demands. If there are other training facilities in your area, then you shuldn’t settle for training at a fitness facility if your goals include competing at a national bodybuilding show. Likewise, if you’re just rehabbing a knee injury, then a membership at a hardcore, dirty basement training facility probably isn’t in your best interest. You control which bodybuilding products you select for training purposes – don’t settle.
Home Workout Equipment
An alternative to training at a gym and tossing $40 per month into oblivion is to spend $500 to $800 and buy yourself a complete home gym setup. Check out places such as Craigslist and Play It Again Sports for good deals on used equipment. Your muscles will not be able to tell the difference between a new squat rack, and one that has been used 10,000 times before by bodybuilders – but your wallet certainly will.

Life is full of alternatives. We’d all love to drive a BMW, but the reality is that it’s not happening. Many of us will be stuck in Hyundai’s and Honda’s as those in the BMW’s speed by us. We’d all love to live in mansions, and we’ll surely all think about the inequality of it all as we trudge up the three stories of stairs to our cramped apartment. And, we would certainly all love to have the understanding doctors and steroid connections enjoyed by the top bodybuilders in the sport. However, unless they suddenly develop a kind streak and post their source on their blog, we are going to remain in the dark on the subject. So, unless we are willing to blindly send our credit card info to an overseas laboratory, or start randomly asking the big guys in the locker room where they buy steroids, we are going to be without the aforementioned drugs which can improve our training performance and recovery so much.
For those of us who still want to see terrific gains without facing these potentially negative roads, we must opt for a steroids alternative. We will reached the promised land of super-muscularity and insane a little more slowly than our injecting brethren, but we will surely reach it nonetheless. Here are two supplements which can definitely be placed in the steroids alternative category. Use them when no actual steroids are available, and you might be fairly pleased with the results!
Mesobolin
Comparable to Nandrolone Decanoate, this Deca-Lite compound rivals the effects seen from injectable steroids in terms of dropping body fat levels, adding muscular body weight, and making the bodybuilder an animal in the weight room. It has been used for years by athletes all over the world seeking a steroid-like edge in the gym without violating anti-doping laws instituted by sporting organizations.
Cyclosterone
The goal of steroids is simple – to increase the levels of testosterone present in the body. With this increase arrives the many desired side effects of greater stamina, energy, aggression and strength. Cyclosterone works to boost natural testosterone production (typically in the range of 40 to 50 mg per week) by up to 440 percent. This isn’t on par with what you would see from a gram of test per week, but it does allow the bodybuilder to enjoy levels seen by used of testosterone at the 200 mg per week range, which is more than adequate for making great gains.
When it comes to steroids, nothing beats the real thing, obviously. However, since they aren’t always available, we can take some solace in the fact that a steroid alternative can lead to greater muscularity and higher strength gains. Look into Mesobolin and Cyclosterone when drugs like Nandrolone and testosterone Enanthate aren’t viable options. Sure, you will not be driving the BMW to your mansion each day, but you can rest assured that the Honda you drive to your apartment will contain a much bigger and stronger bodybuilder than seen before!

Anabolic steroids are some seriously powerful agents, which cannot be denied. Throughout their brief 60-year history, they have converted men from skinny bone racks into champion bodybuilders. We’ve seen world-class track and field records that stood for centuries fall each year, over and over, as the men on the field have found ways to evolve almost month-by-month into superior athletes. In the sports arena, we have seen men in their forties defy aging, defeating men half their age on the football field and the baseball diamond thanks to the help of modern sports medicine.
Their use is undeniable – but their availability is very limited. Without a valid doctor’s prescription, the only way for most people to obtain steroids is through an illegal purchase from an online manufacturing facility, or through the use of a local dealer. Either action is a felony which can result in seizure of property and possibly ending up locked up behind bars, a cost which is definitely too high for most casual bodybuilders. There are some steroids alternatives, in the forms of diet, training, supplements, and patience, which can help to give you some improved results.
Let’s check out a list of some steroids alternatives. Remember that none of them will give you the same results you would see with actual steroids – but you might be surprised at the changes you can see in your body using them.
Anabolic eating
Diet can go a long way toward creating an anabolic environment in your body. Granted, you won’t see strength spikes and overnight fat loss like you would with actual steroid use. But you will see some positive changes. Include natural carbohydrate sources such as potatoes, rice, and beans in your diet, and avoid the processed kinds such as bread. For protein, consume a great deal of beef and eggs, but avoid highly processed meat sources of any kind.
Heavy training
The use of heavy compound movements such as squats and deadlifts can release small amounts of growth hormones into the body which can lead to greater muscle mass gains all over your physique. Training with isolation movements might give you the much-desired pump, but it is the heavy weights for movements which recruit fibers all over the body that leads to the kinds of gains to write home about!
Prohormone supplements
Steroids are illegal, this is true. Many former steroid designers have, as a result, moved over to the pro-hormone field. These steroids alternatives deliver many of the same muscle gains as seen with steroid use, with a slightly higher risk of side effects. Pro-hormones are orals, and oral steroids are certainly the riskiest when compared with injectables. However, when used for short durations, their positive muscle gain side effects are undeniable!
Patience
Finally, without steroids, you aren’t going to see major changes in your body quickly. But with enough time, you can see a new you emerge. Think in terms of years, not weeks and months, and your body will slowly evolve as you become the best bodybuilder you can be!

The year of a new and more muscular you has arrived. No more messing around in the gym and with your diet like you did last year. This year, it’s all about results. You’re ready to commit to a steady diet of the lean proteins and slow-burning carbohydrate sources you need for adding muscle. You’re also well aware of the fact you’ve slacked in the gym in the past. Those days are gone. You’re all about steady consistent training now! The last leg of this bodybuilding stool is that of bodybuilding supplements. Sure, you used a few last year, but you never really took them all that seriously. You would use them for a few days, and then revert to skipping them for a while. As a result, you never saw the full benefit of them, or enjoyed the muscle gains that come with consistent supplement use. That’s okay, all is not lost! The year is new, and so are you. Let’s check out the top four supplements you should be using in 2010 to reach new levels of muscle size and strength without adding any new body fat to your frame.
Creatine
Yes, it’s been around forever, and it was probably one of the first supplements you used years ago. But that is because it works. Without a doubt, creatine works wonderfully for increasing strength and making the bodybuilder bigger all around. If you haven’t used it before, this is the time!
Oral Testibol
If you want to train harder and with more aggression, then Oral Testibol is probably your best bet. Modeled after Methyl-Testosterone, this compound is ideal for putting your brain, heart and body in a place only seen by hardcore steroid users. The result of this increased aggression will be the recruitment of more muscle fibers than ever before – resulting in more growth than every before!
Amino Acids
These branched-chain amigos are your best friend following a tough workout. As you tear down muscle fibers pounding the weight for 60 or 90 minutes, a lot of damage is incurred. If you are wise enough to use BCAA’s as part of your supplement regimen, you can keep your blood levels of nitrogen right where they need to be in order to ensure maximum growth potential.
Tridenosen H
Bump up your hormone production all around – including testosterone, growth hormone, and EPO. Use TridenosenH along with a consistent diet and you’ll discover your own natural production of these hormones begin to climb. Since the increases are natural, you don’t have to worry about a crash following your cycle. Rather, you can use TridenosenH year-round and continue to enjoy the increased hormone benefits.
You don’t have to reinvent the wheel this year. Rather, you just have to make sure the wheel stays on the track. Make the trips to the weight room a habit. Surround yourself with good, clean foods so that junk food isn’t even a temptation. Use supplements consistently and responsibly, and make 2010 the year you see your best results ever!

There are many supplements for muscle building out there on the market today, sitting on store shelves or website store slots. Heck, since the first days of muscle magazines, we’ve been exposed to the same ads. Back then, the wares being peddled were elastic muscle bands or very simple muscle-gain powders designed to add slabs of mass to the 1960s reader. Since then, some things have changed, and some have not. We can always count on the year’s new supplement having the best athletes standing next to it, even though they ironically won their last bodybuilding title before this product was even conceived. The packaging will be glossier than last year’s model. They will always have photographs of a man in a white lab coat reading the ingredient list to a focused top bodybuilder, surrounded by chemistry beakers – Where do these meetings actually take place? And of course, this new product will claim to be 143.89% more anabolic than last month’s flavor of the month. The names of these new, groundbreaking supplements change monthly, but their marketing efforts remain fairly predictable.
One thing that has not changed in the field of supplements for muscle building over the past 50 years is that good supplements that work will eventually work their way up to the top of the supplement food chain. Creatine started with the same marketing powers as products like HMB. Fifteen years later, however, creatine is still one of the top selling supplements today and HMB is a punch line for one marketing guru’s claim that it “Feels like Deca!” There are tried-and-true supplements which arrived years ago and somehow still seem to be featured prominently each month. What does that mean? Well, it means the companies are still espousing the benefits of using these products. This means it’s a safe bet to assume there is adequate revenue coming in from sales of that product to make it viable to continue marketing.
It’s not always guaranteed, but as a general rule, companies will dump those “dogs” that are losing money, much like a Wall Street broker will unload his stocks that lose money so that he can continue making a profit by putting the money into ventures that are profitable. Supplement companies, like all businesses, are the same way. If some of the items in their supplements for muscle building category aren’t selling, then they will introduce new products and move out the old ones. The consumer votes with his or her wallet, and the winners get to stick around on the store shelves for another year!
Also notable is the copy-cat factor. You’ve had products such as Oral Testibol, Creatine, and Mesobolin around for years – and you have companies’ creating supplements which are very similar. This tells you they wish to capitalize upon what is truly genuine consumer buying of a product which works. In other words, based upon their marketing research, companies aren’t going to copycat products that aren’t selling, and selling because the consumer deems them to be effective.
